fishees

Today's illustration was inspired by a little girl in my Sunday School class. Sometimes I'll ask the kids what they did over the weekend and they have all kinds of stories to tell. Well this little one told me she saw lots of fish and this is what came to my mind when she said that.

the fishees are digital

I love it! I like how you handled the objects in the tank environment, making it similar in value... It really makes the fish and girl pop. And the reflection of the girl is also a nice touch.

Awesome. I dig it because it's realistic enuf to see she's looking into an aquarium, but abstract enuf to look like a fantasy world where fish fly in a swirly sky, as tho we're seeing this world thru both our eyes and the imaginative eyes of the little girl. A boy in my sister's Sunday skool class told her he plans to adopt a Russian baby.
