willow

(digital)

Here's my piece for silverscreensociety.com. It's my tribute to the film, Willow. Saw it recently and chose to illustrate the part where the Fairy Queen gives her wand to Willow. This was a fun piece to work on!

happy valentine's day!

I've been making nerdy Valentines! Here are some printables for today. Simply right click, save the image, and print!

Happy Valentine's Day!

The sheet below is for the back of the cards.

My printer was having issues, but this is how they look! Colors may vary a little depending on your printer and monitor settings. I like rounded corners so I used a corner punch. I also used cardstock paper.

little golden tales tribute at nucleus

(gouache)

Here's my piece for the Little Golden Tales show at Nucleus! It's a tribute to Little Golden Books, Mary Blair, and Lord of the Rings all in one shot!

I was so happy to have been invited to participate in this show. I love Golden Books! Working on this piece was so great because I was able to paint it traditionally, and had creative freedom to choose whatever I wanted. I chose Lord of the Rings because I've always wanted to do a piece based on the books/films. I also chose to pay tribute to Mary Blair's cover for "I Can Fly" as it is my all time favorite Little Golden Book.

The opening reception is Saturday, January 18th. The show will run from January 18th - February 9th. The artwork should also be available online to view on Nucleus' website
