umbrella

So I decided to brush up on my (weak) French and Spanish skills by making flashcards. Here is the first French one inspired by last weekends rainfall. We got lots of rain which is quite unusual for Southern California, and it was just wonderful! Doesn't look like there will be any rain this weekend but I will have my polka dotted parapluie just in case. Hehehee.

I like the colors and rounded corners. Are you using digital media or traditional?

Thanks Shawn! This piece is all digital using Photoshop and Painter.

Super cute flashcard, its such a great idea (and I can see it all as a set, makes a great portfolio piece too.)

Oh how is that cintiq doing?!? heheh. Lucky! I have to get one of those soon. Thanks for your kind words on my blog-all the best to you in 2008, Eren!

That's a funny looking / sounding word. Reminds me of hand-towel in Italian which I love the sound of: Asciugamani
Ah-shoo-gah-MAH-nee

oh - love the simplicity and color of your illustration too.

So nice. My French sucks bad so I will not. You've created a simply sweet design.

Very very nice stuff here! I saw the animal designs you did for Hasbro today (I'm working on that same project too) and I gotta say they're really great! Awesome work! I'll be back.

Thanks Ridd! The animal drawings have been lots of fun to work on. So glad you stopped by my blog. And now I'm off to yours...
