thursday girl

This week I've been drawing the females. I have two versions of this particular girl. One with the pencil lines still visible and this one without. I liked both versions. I usually prefer rough drawings to cleaned up stuff, but I decided to go with this one.

First post! Very cute illo, eren. I think we share some similar influences. Are you using traditional or digital media? It's getting so hard to tell these days. In any case, your work is gorgeous.

Looking forward to dropping by more often.

Hello Eren! So happy to have discovered your blog tonight. Your work is delightful. I really love this "blue" girl. Like Steve Lambe posted above (hi, steve!)... I think we definitely have an affinity for some of the same influences. I love Mary Blair too.

Looking forward to seeing much more of your work!

Hey Eren! Love it! is it digital or traditional! I know what you're talking about with the roughs, I usually prefer them as well, so scared to kill the energy of the sketch when going to the colour stage!
Anyway, BEAUTIFUL!

Thanks Chia I always appreciate your kind comments! See you at cafe sketching!

Stef,
I always appreciate your nice comments too Stef. You're work is inspiring to me and I just wanted to thank you!

EVERYONE,
This "blue girl" is digital. I use Painter and Photoshop for most of my work, although sometimes I do break out the brushes and use gouache. Thanks again everyone!

I love the color choices, nice COOL blues mixed with a WARM skin tone...
It's not fair how well you can draw the girlies...

I like your artworks, remind me of Mary Blair's style.
I am curious with your media as well, is it computer paint or traditional?

Very cute - I wish I could do something like that. All I can draw are stick figures. :-/
