  7. This is cool! I love the black background and the frothy texture you used for the bubbles in the bath! And...I adore all the floating bubbles with the things in them (including your initials?) and the perfect irridescent edges.

    Yes my initials "EB" are floating around! I'm glad someone caught that. There is also an "M" for Mary Blair, one of my favorite artists!

    jsanford - I studied animation at California State University Fullerton and got my BFA there...

    I also wanted to note that this illustration is finished. I never do the illustrations for IF on the Friday the topic is announced. I do them a few days later...that's what I meant...=D

    Thanks so much for visiting my blog! I realy enjoyed working on this piece. And the whole "crayon rainbow under black paint" is indeed the inspiration for this!! I totally remember that in grade school! Ahhh those were good times...

    The other inspiration for this is the Sing Sweet Nightingale/Bubble scene in Cinderella. I don't know if you've seen it but it's a great sequence.

    Perhaps I should have mentioned all of this in my post...oh well. Glad you like it! Thanks so much again Krista! =)
